Different parts, different service needs
Plan maintenance around the equipment you own
A cartridge, a membrane and a softener resin bed do not share one replacement rule. We identify the system and service history before deciding what is due.
1
Filters and RO membranes
We check component specifications, usage and operating conditions. Changing a prefilter does not necessarily mean the membrane is due at the same visit.
2
Softener brine and settings
Planned service can include salt-level, brine-system and regeneration checks. Resin is assessed for condition and performance rather than replaced by a universal calendar.
3
Treatment media and UV
Media assessment and UV lamp or sleeve service follow the actual equipment requirements. A visible light is not a substitute for the specified UV operating checks.
4
A home left unoccupied
Extended absences can change service needs. We explain manufacturer-required flushing, sanitization, inspection or restart tasks for your setup before you return to use.

Identify before replacing
The right replacement is more than a matching shape
We record equipment and component details, review previous work and confirm the applicable replacement parts. Cartridge fit alone does not establish the same treatment function. For RO, the prefilters, postfilter and membrane each have a role; we follow the system’s specifications rather than substituting parts solely because the connection fits.
Maintenance scope may include manufacturer-specified cleaning or sanitization, valve and tubing inspection, leak checks, pressure checks and relevant treatment measurements. If a unit is already leaking, alarmed or no longer delivering water as expected, start with treatment-system fault diagnosis so a breakdown is not mistaken for a routine filter change.
We establish the service requirements from
✓ Equipment models and specified components
✓ Manufacturer instructions and rated capacity
✓ Water conditions, use and operating measurements
✓ Previous service dates and any unresolved faults
A schedule with reasons
Service timing should fit how your system operates
We follow manufacturer requirements and account for water conditions, usage and actual operation. Your written guidance identifies planned work and signs that warrant earlier attention. We distinguish a timed service requirement from a component that needs condition or performance assessment; one blanket interval would hide that difference.
For softeners, we explain the relevant salt, brine, settings and regeneration checks. For treatment media or resin, we assess the applicable condition and performance. Where UV is installed, lamp and sleeve care, monitoring and any required pretreatment checks belong in the plan. These tasks support the equipment’s intended operation; they do not prove that every possible water concern has been addressed.
Include upkeep when comparing systems
Ask about compatible consumables, access for service and recurring work before choosing new equipment. Our ownership-cost and proposal guidance keeps those commitments alongside installation costs. If you are choosing a kitchen system, the RO and under-sink filter comparison explains how the options differ.

From your first concern to a working system
We connect the assessment, installation, and maintenance plan so you understand what happens at each step.

Equipment selection begins with the source, available space, and treatment objective.
1
Understand
Review your water and property
We discuss your concerns, inspect existing equipment, and review available results. We explain what screening covers and coordinate appropriate laboratory testing when needed.
2
Compare
Put the scope in writing
We explain suitable options, capacity, limitations, and recurring costs. Your proposal identifies installation needs, required approvals, and the work included.
3
Install
Prepare, connect, and check
We arrange required permits and qualified trades, protect the work area, and follow the selected equipment’s installation and startup procedures.
4
Hand over
Leave you with a care plan
We document operating checks, explain shutoffs and bypasses, and provide equipment records, warranty information, and a written maintenance schedule.
Continuity between visits
We record the work and explain what comes next
Your service record identifies work completed, relevant checks and recommendations. We explain which routine tasks you can perform and which need a qualified technician, along with the next service or assessment requirements for the actual equipment.
If you are away seasonally, tell us your occupancy plans and who can authorize access. We coordinate with an approved property manager and provide equipment-specific absence and return-to-service guidance. Bring prior records if the system is new to you so we can separate known service history from assumptions.

Keep a practical service record
Understand the model-specific checks and consumables behind ongoing treatment-system care.
Yes, after identifying the equipment, its condition and the work we can support. Share model labels, prior service records and any symptoms. If records are missing, we assess what can be established rather than assuming all components were recently replaced.
Not by default. The required work depends on the components, manufacturer instructions, usage and findings. We identify which parts need replacement, which need assessment and what is outside the agreed visit before proceeding.
No. Salt supply is one operating requirement. Depending on the equipment and service scope, we also check brine operation, settings, regeneration, leaks and relevant treatment performance. A normal salt level alone does not establish that the system is functioning properly.
Do not use visible light alone to judge the unit’s required service. We follow the selected model’s lamp, sleeve, monitoring and maintenance instructions and assess relevant operating conditions. UV service requirements are not a generic promise of complete water safety.
Only when that analysis is part of the agreed scope. Routine operating checks and field measurements are not the same as certified laboratory testing. If confirmation of a specific treatment objective is needed, we coordinate appropriate sampling and explain the additional scope.
